2021 Texas Quiz Bowl Camp Registration

Texas Quiz Bowl is proud to announce our 12th annual Summer Camp. This summer students looking to advance their quiz bowl game can join TQBA and its group of teaching professionals for 35 hours of learning about quiz bowl clues, strategy, and study skills. Because of scheduling issues associated with the continuing COVID pandemic, quiz bowl camp this year will be held online via Zoom.

Register for the 2021 TQBA Summer Camp

This summer Texas Quiz Bowl will host two cohorts. Students may attend either or both of the cohorts. Classes will run each day (Monday-Friday) from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. (Central time) with a thirty minute lunch.

Session A: July 12-16
Session B: July 19-23

Classes available this summer will include three science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), three history (American, European, World), three literature (American Prose, British Prose, and Poetry), and three others (Classical Mythology, Philosophy, & Visual Arts). Each student will choose three classes to take each week. Additionally each student will benefit from a study skills class and dedicated practice time. Cost is $420 per student per week.

2020 Texas Quiz Bowl Camp — Registration Open

The 2020 Texas Quiz Bowl Camp is scheduled for Saturday, July 19 to Sunday, July 25 at the University of Texas at Dallas. Arrangements are anticipated to be similar to past years. The pre-registration process is currently open. Students may be pre-registered for quiz bowl camp via the 2020 camp pre-registration form.

The cost of the 2020 camp is $900 per student for overnight campers or $775 for day campers. Fees will include five learning sessions, quiz bowl practice, two meals, and recreation periods daily in addition to “school” supplies and t-shirt. The regular registration deadline for the July Texas Quiz Bowl Camps at the University of Texas at Dallas is June 1st. We ask that all students register as soon as possible to allow us time to plan accordingly. Fees will be due on Tuesday, June 19th. Fees submitted after that date will be subject to and additional $100 late fee.

2018 Texas Quiz Bowl Camps — Registration Open

Texas Quiz Bowl is making plans for its 2018 Summer Quiz Bowl Camps. We will host (at least) three camp weeks this year:

Tilapia Study Guides Available

The Tilapia Collection (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Masters) are new for 2017. They feature tossup study sets utilized at previous Texas Quiz Bowl Camps. Each of the books features 24 chapters of questions distributed like a standard high school packet. Each of the chapters focuses on a specific category of questions (e.g., organelles, poems, wars) allowing students to focus on clue patterns to learn new material as quickly as possible. Camp Schedules

Below are the schedules of classes for the 2017 camp sessions. Please note that these schedules are not final. The schedule may still be adjusted. Students will be emailed information regarding their schedules in the middle of the week prior to camp (approximately July 5 for Session A and July 12 for Session B).There are still a few available camp spots available for anyone who wishes to participate.
