From 2009 through 2015, Texas Quiz Bowl camps was be held at the Tradition at Northgate luxury dorm in College Station, Texas. The view from the Tradition pool area is shown below.
Each student will have a private bedroom and will share a bathroom with one other student of the same gender and a similar age. Please note the room below is furnished; quiz bowl camp rooms are unfurnished. Basic linens and towels are provided. We encourage students to bring their own pillows and blankets.
All Quiz Bowl Camp activities are held at the Tradition in its various study rooms, its theater, conference room, multimedia room, and lobbies. Below the (B-building) third floor study area is shown. The doorway to one of the tradition’s many study rooms can be seen on the right.
Breakfast and Dinner each day is included with your registration fees. Each day during lunch student groups will walk with their counselor to a local eatery. Possible destinations include Freebirds, Dixie Chicken, La Bodega, Potbelly, Subway, Antonio’s Pizza, Pita Pit, Potato Shack, The Corner, Chipotle, and Scholtzsky’s.
